Crete: a quick glance

Crete is the second larger island in the Eastern Mediterranean after Cyprus covering 8.336km2 and the bigger in Greece. It stretches 260 km and has a maximum width of 60 km. It is one of the 13 regions of Greece with a population of 650.000 in the prefectures of Lasithi, Heraklion, Retymnon and Chania.
